Kronos Quartet in SF

Ok, so I just discovered that the Kronos String Quartet is based out of San Francisco. How cool is that? AND...Hank Dutt (the violist) teaches privately in San Francisco and is an active member of AVS. SOOOOOOOOO, my goal is to get a lesson. I think I might be able to establish a connection through my previous teacher. How awesome would that be? I would be on cloud nine. Yeah yeah, LA seems to be the place to be, but there is some serious music coming out of SF. In my opinion, the San Francisco Symphony is far better than the LA Phil. The co-principle of SFS also teaches at SF conservatory. Connections people connections....I'm gonna make it!

As for my good old viola teacher, I discovered that he was also the recipient of the 2004 International Viola Society silver alto clef award for his work in the viola profession. That's pretty darn prestigious. Maybe he can start giving me a few lessons again and kick my ass a little. I definately need it.

I love my VIOLA!!!
