Vegas to Frisco
Interesting week. Yesterday, I worked for like no money. Then I ended up at an opera rehearsal for 3 hours. The rehearsal was kinda fun. It was very laid back and stress free. I saw some old faces and met some new ones. An old school mate is starting up an opera company and has everything set for the first show. Unfortunately I can only make 2 rehearsals, but it doesn't look like much to worry about.
Then, I ended up home watching Meet the Fockers with my friend Quyen. I downed a couple martinis, enjoyed good company and got to bed at a decent hour.
Having gone to that opera rehearsal, I really developed the urge to practice. I found myself wanting to go back to the practice rooms at school. I had a nice lunch with my old friend Serena and then ended up playing double stops for about an hour. Then I enjoyed reading some Wagner orchestral excerpts. For not playing in several months, I haven't lost much ability. There are obviuosly some noticable differences. My finger spacings are sometimes off. However, that double stop exercise book will bring it all right back.
Tomorrow is work and then I am off to San Francisco for the Jewish Passover. I'm so excited! Not bad for one month...vegas then SF? Not bad at all.
