Happy Valentine's Day!

Who is this day for? Is it for the materialistic women who want their man to show them they care about them? Is it for the men whose pocket book is just too large? Or is it for couples to celebrate their fondness of each other, whether it be love or still in that "I like you" stage? At first I was going to say that this day was over rated. But the more I think about it, the more I think this is a holiday that celebrates the one thing everyone ever hopes and dreams for...........LOVE! Everyone wants to feel loved by someone in their lifetime, whether it be by their significate other, grandparent or even their friend. People need to feel wanted and loved. Most associate this holiday with romantic love. For every Valentine's Day in the last four years, I have had some kind of romantic love to celebrate.....whether it be actual love or just fondness of someone I was dating. This year however, I am single. This holiday makes me appreciate the other kinds of love I have in my life. When I was growing up, my mom would always have something for us kids....some candy or little trinket. Even to this day, she gave me two hearts filled with candy, a bag full of Hershey kisses and a new note pad for all of my memos. That is such a sweet thought. I had to call and thank her this morning for all of the goodies. I tried to do the same this year. I bought my Mom a box of sugar free chocolate truffles and I mailed off a pretty card. For the many others I will see today, I baked one of my favorite cakes...the Red Velvet, with white chocolate frosting and chocolate mousse filling....all homemade of course! It looks pretty fantastic.

My plans for this evening should be exciting. I meeting a few of my girlfriends and we are going out to a couple of drinks and some dessert (shit, even to this day I can't remember the spelling of that....I always get desert and dessert mixed up).

Last night I laughed my ass off. A bunch of people from work gathered after the shift and we were talking about some pretty crazy stuff. I haven't laughed that hard in a while...man I needed that! I work with some pretty crazy people...fun, but crazy!

So, I think it is necessary to finish this blog with a dorky joke......

What did one saggy boob say to the other?

(drum roll please...............)

We better find some support soon, otherwise people are going to think we're nuts!

Stupid, yet soooo funny!

Happy Valentine's Day All!
