Moon River

Sometimes when I am stressed out, singing calms my nerves. Usually I'll sing to the radio any chance I get. Even when there aren't any words to sing, I still sing. So, when I first heard Moon River by Henri Mancini, sung by Andy Williams, I just stopped. I didn't have to sing. It calms my nerves and puts a silly grin on my face all the while, I don't have to sing. I can just listen and feel so much better. His voice is incredible and takes me away... far away.

Moon River, wider than a mile
I'm crossing you in style, someday
Oh dreammaker, you heartbreaker
Wherever you're going, I'm going your way

Two drifters off to see the world
There such a lot of world to see
We're after the same rainbows and
Wait'n 'round the bend
My huckleberry friend
Moon river
