shooting stars
Christmas is coming up and I have no idea what to get for my mom. I was thinking of maybe a gift card, but I want something personal. A few years back, I painted her a picture frame. AH, i just don't know. My sister's birthday is also coming up. She is very difficult to shop for, so a gift card would be practical for her.
I was just thinking about the most relaxing place that I've ever been. About three years ago, my bestfriend and I took a trip to the mountains outside of Santa Barbara. She is a huge dork and wanted to see where Neverland Ranch is. She is the BIGGEST Michael Jackson fan alive. Anyways, I had the most perfect day. We drove up the mountains until we found a place to park and have a picnic on the green hill side. It was breath taking. I've never been in a place that quiet in my life. You could hear everything.....a car from three miles away even! Places like that make me smile and love life. I love the hustle and bustle of the city. But once in a great while, there is nothing like a trip into the mountains or country where all is forgotten and life seems to stop for a second, allowing you to catch up and just breathe. I can only imagine star gazing there. When I went to the Idyllwild arts camp this summer, that was my absolute favorite part. Not playing viola. We went up to this place called inspiration point. It was beautiful. Of course I was tipsy. But that is beside the point. We found these gigantic rocks, or boulders if you will, and we climbed up on them and layed down. I still remember the warmth of the rock from the hot sun. We all layed out and watched for shooting stars! I saw quite a few of those shooting stars. What a night. I seriously need to go camping, just to be under the stars.
There are so many things I have never done yet. It is my goal to do some of them this year! I've never been skiing or visit the east coast. I want to go on a cruise and take tango lessons. I want to sing in the LA Master chorale...they are soooooo fucking good! I love listening to them. I want to go to the LA Opera. So many things....and I will do them. Ok, maybe I wont be able to do the LA Master Chorale part, but I'm sure as hell gonna try. More education, then I will try.

more education? can you say screw that?
Still, I know I'll end up eating my words in a few years.
AS
Well, I figure why not learn as much as I can. That way, if I decide to teach, I will be able to have an education to teach them! I want to be able to play and sing before I can teach others to do so. And I certainly don't want to teach beginners......oh wow, I would probably rather work at the resturant for the rest of my life. NOT my cup of tea....although it was fun and I had to learn to be creative.
