Forgive, but never forget.
I was thinking about a New Years resolution. I never really do them because lets face it, no one ever sticks to them. But I've come to cherish the people in my life much more. One never knows if there is a tomorrow, so why not just live like it? I've held a few grudges over the years, and I mean only a few. When people hurt you, it is very hard to ever let them in your life again, let alone talk to them. My mother kinda suprised me by saying, "forgive, but never forget." I've heard that saying many times before, and I was caught a little off guard when I heard it from my own mother. And I guess we have to do just that in order to be healthy and happy ourselves....to let things go and move on so we can all be happy. Forgive, but never forget....I think I will do just that. Thanks for the advice ya'll.

I always thought the saying was actually "forgive and forget."
It certainly makes more sense the way your mother told you.
