I'm bored. I am sitting in the music department answering phones and trying to be helpful to students. But there isn't anything to do. So, I am here. Might as well just type all of my thoughts out.
So I was talking with a friend about my voice and my huge range. I know I could make something of it!! So, he advised me to take a lesson with a faculty member at CSUN. So, I'm going to run into the professor after her class today. I'm very excited. That is definately going to be exciting. I can't wait to sing. I practice my voice more than I do my own viola. Don't get me wrong, I want to be a violist. But I truly think I could do both. It would be so awesome to have a variety of musical abilities. But I don't want to be a "jack of all trades, and master of none." I believe I can do both, and do them both well. But we shall see.
So I really want to buy a nice set of wine goblets. I have really fancy margarita glasses, but I dont have a set of wine goblets yet. I love fancy stuff. My mom has these really beautiful crystal glasses that have a red rim. They are just beautiful. When I was in Venice at this world famous glass blowing place (the name slips my mind right now), I learned that in certain shades of red, gold is used. I remember buying this tiny red vase for my mom. I didn't have a ton of money when I was in Italy, but that is the one person I thought deserved this gorgeous work of art.
Ahhhh, Italy..............my favorite memories come from Italy. I loved roaming the streets of Florence. Hearing the conversations around me, eating gelato on the ponte vecchio bridge, watching a marathon happening in the middle of the city square, visiting art galaries and seeing all of the famous works that we hear about. I want to go back. I would live there if I could. I could so easily drift off. I would probably drop everything in a heart beat if I was giving the chance to persue music in Florence. I would have my music and art. Venice was nice, but not like Florence. I was serenaded by an operatic singer while in a gondola with a few of my friends. Life was soooo incredibly generous to me and still is. That is one thing I will never take forgranted. Life is here and then it can leave us in a second. We never know when that time will be. SO, dance while you can and make things happen because they don't happen on their own.
