never a dull moment

I'm frustrated with this computer! It freezes on me and then I lose everything I was working on. Man that is frustrating especially when I had almost finished a really long blog entry!!!!!!!!

My rehearsal was awesome! The conductor is very good. I couldn't help but stare at him because he reminded me of someone. I just couldn't put my finger on it. Well, when we first went into the building, I knew exactly where to go because I played in the hall once before. It was kinda nice. So the girls and I are standing in the elevator with this one guy who turns out to be the conductor. Funny story, the guy starts to go the wrong way for the rehearsal. He doesn't know where the choir room was, so I kindly pointed him in the direction....he shot me a funny look, like how could I know that. But hey, at least I met the man. It is always good to get to know conductors. So, I sat next to the usual people. I just cannot stand some of these singers during rehearsal....they are sooooooo unprofessional. I'm gonna say something if they keep it up when we are rehearsing with the orchestra. Fuck that, they're not going to ruin my experience! The dress rehearsal is on Friday and so I managed to take the day off of work. We managed to get the union to pay us for a few more hours of rehearsal that morning also. Hey, I'm all for the extra moola.

I have to buy a floor length skirt. Do you know how hard it is to buy a skirt that long for my height? It's rare that I can get one to my ankles, let alone the floor. Shitski! I usually like to shop, but tomorrow I am not looking forward to it.

I'm going to a birthday dinner for a friend tomorrow. It should be interesting. There is never a dull moment with this crowd. I guess it is going to be a dressy occasion and I am required to wear a dress. I have no idea what the plan is, so hopefully it will be fun....not too late of an evening either since I will be up at 6am the next day. I'm just sooooooooo excited about this concert! I only wish my Mom could see it. I know she would be there in spirit though....it was always her dream to live....but it is my reality now. :)

Yo...

I'm 'bla bla bla'ing" (yes a ridiculous pun based on the name of your blog...)

I'm sitting here all wrapped up in my blankets. I'm sick as a french poodle on prom night..fever and all, and I can't sleep.... SO guess what I get to do? I get to just blab all over somebody else's website? Ain't that some shit? (I always told you I thought blog's were a bad idea... and this proves my point: some wacko commenting on a blog at 5am feverish!!!)

So yeah, I know what you mean... those pesky singers... Sometimes I relish the days when Joe Murphy, in the middle of an orchestra rehearsal for carmina burana, says, 'do you think we should invite the throats to our hang later?" Sensing the presence of the beforementioned throats he stumbled out a quick "I mean, umm, singersaaahhh...musicians?" That was some funny ass shit. Sort of like that joke about percussionists being drummers and not musicians. Murphyisms are the best. Funny too, Joe's wife is a " singersaaahhh...musician" That really made it funny considering she was singing the prettiest ballad in carmina burana. What's even funnier is during rehearsal with Jorge mester Joe was staring at his wife lovingly as she sang this gorgeous ballad... and he forgot to come in on his low C tuba football. That was great. I wish they had digital cameras back then. Come to think of it it's kind of sweet...

SO Jenn, as i was saying... (before I took a detour down the medicated alleyways of a nyquil half dream halucination concerning tuba players and throats and shit, I was going to say... yeah, singers are unprofessionals some time. I guess it just comes with the territory of always striving to be emotioanl at ALL COSTS!!! I guess all that I wanted to say was, probably a beter business angle would be to not say anything and just bite the bullet. Hey, those throats-singers thingies might give you a job someday. Since you're leaving the beautiful elogent world of viola for throatdome, might be a good idea, ya know? I don't know.. my head hurts... sleepy bye bye time.. damn these moving computer screens....I would've thought by now apple would've fixed that stupid problem...

WOW..bedtie

Godbless all the throats out there that also play other instruments and shit
