The perfect day
Today made me smile. I slept in until 11am. Then I lounged around, typed on my computer, and layed in bed talking on the phone for part of the day. I washed some clothes and for once didn't wait until the last possible minute. I did some girly things like painting my toes and put on one of my facial masks. Then the most peaceful feeling came over me as I walked to work. It was dark and the wind blew ever so softly. The air smelled of ethinic foods and reminded me of a place near San Francisco. I'm sure people probably thought I was crazy because I couldn't help but smile. I was early to work and the people were all nice tonight. At the end of my shift, I sat down and ate a good dinner with my fellow coworkers and had a few laughs. Then I helped a friend with music stuff and ended up at school. Luckily, as I remember all too well, the practice rooms were open. But it was good because we were able to accomplish what we had hoped we could get done. And for once, I didn't wonder about who the hell was there and didn't care. I was happy being with a truly good friend who has stuck it out with me for quite a while. I heard the sounds of instruments as I left the building and I couldn't help but think of the almost perfect day that I had.
It is true that you have to experience a lot of shit to realize the good in your life. I could never really hate anyone, and that is surprising because of all of the shitty things that people have done to me. When I get angry with people and feel hurt by things and situations that have happened, I try my hardest to remember these words and live by them:
Love is patient, Love is kind
and envies no one.
Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude;
never selfish, not quick to take offense.
There is nothing love cannot face;
there is no limit to its faith,
its hope and endurance.
In a word, there are three things
that last forever: faith, hope and love;
but the greatest of them all is love.
1 Corinthians 13

that is probably the most amazing thing that has been written in the bible. I never knew such a passage existed....
AS
Those words inspire me to be a better person.
